Setting up LTI 1.1 (US)

What is LTI?

Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) is an education technology coding standard that allows learning systems to communicate with external systems.

For example, your Learning Management System (LMS) or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), may use LTI to host course content and tools provided by external, third-party systems on a web site, without requiring a learner to log in separately on the external systems.

ClickView is compliant with both v1.1 and v1.3 coding standards.  These steps will guide you through the generic setup of LTI v1.1:

 

  1. Login to ClickView and access 'Settings':

  2. Select 'LTI' from the left hand side menu then click 'Add LTI Platform':

  3. Select Version 1.1:

  4. Give your platform a name:

  5. Your platform configuration is now created. The relevant fields required for LTI integration will be exposed i.e. Key, Secret, Launch URL and XML URL. These fields can then simply be copied across to the LMS settings portal to complete the integration:
