How to add a video to your Local Cache?
There are two different methods to cache a video in Local Cache:
Passive Caching
When you are on the same network as your Local Cache, playing any video in ClickView, will cause that video to be added to the Cache.
If the video you're wanting to play is already in the Local Cache, the video will be streamed directly from the Local Cache without using any internet.
You will know when a video is being streamed from the Local Cache by the icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the ClickView Player.
Note: With the passive method, the Local Cache will only cache the part of the video that has been viewed/buffered. If you wish to cache the whole video, please refer to the 'Active' section.
Active Caching
You can actively push any video to your Local Cache in preparation for viewing in an upcoming lesson via the Options button.
Click on 'Add to Local Cache'.
And again click on 'Add to Local Cache'. This will add your video to the Local Cache so that it can be played reliably in your classroom!
