ClickView Online now supports 2-Factor (2-Step) Authentication for Manager (ADM) account access.
2-Factor authentication is an enhanced security strategy that incorporates two pieces of identification from different sources; in this case, account passwords and pass-codes sent to a mobile device.
If you are interested in enabling 2-Factor Authentication, please contact ClickView Technical Support to enable the feature for you.
NOTE: Currently 2 factor authentication is only available for ADM access, not for personal accounts.
Configuring 2-Factor Authentication in ADM
When you sign in to your ClickView ADM, navigate to the Manage Users -> Manage Teachers tab.
If 2-factor authentication has been enabled, you will see a new lock icon on the right side of the screen.
Click the lock icon to bring up the following box. Enter a mobile phone number which you have access to, and that can be used to receive text messages.
When you click Register, a 7-digit confirmation code will be sent to the designated number. Enter the code into the following interface to verify the phone number. The interface will allow you to change the designated number as well as resend the code to the designated number if necessary.
When the code has been verified, the following box will appear to confirm registration is complete.
Note: If you multiple people are entrusted to access the ClickView ADM account, you will need to register phone numbers for each person.
Subsequent login attempts to your ClickView ADM account will result in the following selection. Select the phone number you have access to, and wait to receive the code.
Managing 2-Factor Authentication
If you wish to manage existing 2-factor configurations you can click the lock button next to the teacher account as mentioned above to bring up the following box.
Turning off 2-factor authentication will only remove the associated phone number from appearing in the list when signing in. Unregistering the number will remove two factor authentication entirely for the user.
