A new feature introduced in ClickView Publisher 4.4 and above is the ability to recursively import material in to the ClickView Publisher application.
The recursive import functionality can be used to import all material that exists within a designated folder directly in to the ClickView Publisher application.
This feature is highly useful for institutions who have numerous material that they wish to ingest in to the ClickView platform without having to perform this process individually on a title-by-title basis.
As we can see in the screenshot below, we have a folder on the desktop entitled 'Test Videos' > Within the 'Test Videos' folder, nine separate MP4 files exist that we wish to import in to the ClickView Publisher
To recursively import the 'Test Videos' folder and the nine individual titles to ClickView, we simply need to launch ClickView Publisher and then drag-and-drop the 'Test Videos' folder in to the folder within ClickView Publisher that we want to import the nine titles to.
In the example above, we have dragged the 'Test Videos' folder in to the custom created 'Student Engagement' folder as highlighted in red. We have then been presented with a message informing us that all of the material existing in 'Test Videos' will be imported to the 'Student Engagement' folder within ClickView Publisher.
Upon clicking 'Yes' to this message, the recursive import process will then commence, once this process has completed the user will be presented with a message similar to the below confirming that the importing has been completed.
As we can see from the screenshot above, as a result of the successful import of this material the video count within ClickView Publisher has increased from '9' to '18' videos (as highlighted in red)
If we then browse to the 'Student Engagement' folder we can see that the nine titles have been successfully imported in to ClickView Publisher
We can now add metadata to these titles as desired and synchronise them with ClickView Online.
