This support article will demonstrate how to enable closed captions for ClickView videos in the iOS application - The same process is applicable for the iPhone and iPad.
iOS handles closed captions differently than other platforms. Enabling subtitles is done through the accessibility settings within iOS itself, rather than toggled on a per-video basis like in ClickView Online and some of the other available ClickView Apps.
The process of enabling closed captions is as follows:
1) Open up the Settings app, locate the General section, and then scroll down to find the Accessibility submenu.
2) From within the Accessibility menu, scroll down to find the Subtitles & Captioning sub-menu.
3) And then Finally, toggle the Closed Captions + SDH switch.
This will then enable closed captions for any videos that ClickView contains these for.
NOTE: It will also turn on subtitles in every other applicable iOS app as well - this is due to iOS behaviour and its overall handling of closed captions. You will need to toggle the Closed Captions + SDH option off if you no longer wish to see them elsewhere.
