Updates to the ClickView Publisher software packages will be released periodically to introduce new features, update existing features/functions and also fix reported software bugs. The following tutorial will run through the steps to applying a ClickView Publisher update.
ClickView recommends that you update your ClickView Server to the latest version of ClickView Publisher first and then update subsequent client instances of ClickView Publisher thereafter.
Note: These steps apply to Publisher version 3 and above. If you are running a lower version, you will need to uninstall the software and then reinstall with the latest download. If you are not sure what version you have installed, go to Help -> About ClickView Publisher.
Installing & Updating
Once you have downloaded the latest version of ClickView Publisher, please run the ClickView Publisher Installer and agree to the EULA to proceed with the installation
In the next step the installer will prompt for confirmation of the installation path & at this time the installer will auto-detect the previous installation path specified and specify this as the Installation location.
Note: ClickView strongly recommends that you do not change this path when upgrading ClickView Publisher.
Step 3 :
Once the Destination folder have been detected from the previous section, we are ready to start the installation for the latest software > select ' Install ' to begin
During the process the new version will be installed, registered and services will be installed.
Once you have installed the latest version of ClickView Publisher you can confirm the version by navigating to the ' Help > About ClickView Publisher' and the software version will be displayed there.
