A playlist is a list of videos that automatically play one after the other in a pre specified sequence. The videos can come from ClickView Libraries, School Library, or your own videos. The playlist feature lets you gather videos and organize them into a viewing order exactly as you wish. This is great for when you want to save the videos for later review or for when you're curating a set of videos to watch in class. Playlists can be shared with other staff and students at your discretion.
A screenshot of a typical playlist can be seen below.
You are able to create as many different playlists as you want. Teachers and students often name their playlists as topics so that they are easier to find later on.
You can share playlists with other teachers and students from your school. Copying the link to the playlist and giving it to students or adding it to your LMS is a great way to share consolidated resources. To learn more about sharing playlists, view this tutorial: How do I share my playlists?
You can add videos to a playlist by browsing the video, clicking for more options, clicking 'Save to Playlist' and then choosing the playlist you would like to add it to. To learn more about how you can add videos to a playlist, please see the following tutorial: How do I create a playlist?
You can 'follow' an existing playlist. When a playlist is shared or a ClickView Playlist is required, users will get the option to follow which is indicated by the ‘Follow’ icon.
Once clicked, you’re following the playlist and updates to the content will seamlessly appear once they are made by the curator of the playlist.
Followed playlists will appear alongside your own playlists, under the Playlists tab. Followed Playlists can be used just like any other playlist, except for adding, ordering or deleting videos from them.
