This article will show you how to deploy URL shortcuts to user desktops using Group Policy on Windows Server.
To do it open group policy editor and create or edit existing GPO:
1. Go to User Configuration -> Preferences -> Windows Settings -> Shortcuts -> Right click – > New
2. In the Shortcut menu, fill in the settings as shown below:
Action: 'Create'
Name: 'ClickView'
Target type: 'URL'
Location: 'Desktop'
Target URL: Copy the link displayed in the SSO Management Page:
Once the required fields have been filled, it should look similar to this:
Icon File Path: You can download the ClickView icon here -> ClickView.ico
3. Click 'OK' and once the policy gets refreshed you will be able to see the shortcut on the desktop
