This service does require some configuration after being deployed to the machine; however, you can follow the steps below to configure the service.
Setup
Please follow the below steps to get set up:
Step 1. Run the MSI downloaded, follow the prompts given by the wizard and accept the EULA.
Step 2. Define the path you'd like to install the service to (we recommend leaving this as the default in most cases as data won't be stored in this location).
Step 3. Wait for the setup wizard to complete. You'll then be redirected to the following webpage - http://localhost:9054/setup this will allow you to set up the Local Cache.
Note: The wizard will perform a number of checks that confirm connectivity, these will be displayed before the image above. As per the below screenshot:
Note: In the case that either of these checks fails, you'll need to perform the step given under Step 4.
Step 4. The setup wizard may prompt you to set up a proxy before attempting to sign into ClickView; you will need to fill out the relevant details in each section.
Step 5. You will be prompted to log in with a ClickView account. Please note this account can be an SSO account. If it is an SSO account, you’ll find that you are redirected towards your IDP after entering your email address.
Step 6. Define a set of Administrator Credentials for the Admin Console.
Note: Please store these credentials somewhere as this will be used to log in to the Admin Console in the future.
Step 7. You will then be prompted to set up the name of the Local Cache (This is used to identify the device if you have multiple instances in the future).
Step 8. Choose the Storage Location. This is where the Local Cache will store files. The chosen location must be a directory that doesn't already contain any Files or Sub-Folders. Local Cache doesn't support UNC paths. We recommend creating an empty folder in the C:\ drive.
Step 9. Set the disk size you wish to be used by the Local Cache. We recommend at least 100 GB.
Step 10. Once the setup process is completed you will be redirected to the Admin Console where you can manage your Local Cache.
If you need more information about the admin console, please refer to the following article on how to navigate the admin console: Navigating the Local Cache Admin Console.
