The ClickView ADI module allows users to access ClickView Online in a variety of ways once implemented at your institution.
Users who are logged in to Active Directory within the institution can access ClickView Online by specifying '/ad' (without apostrophes) at the end of the local ADI website address:
In our case, our local ADI website address is - http://clickviewsso and we are logged in to our school network (Active Directory).
To access ClickView Online without needing to type any login credentials in, we simply need to add /ad on to the footer of the ADI website address:
This method of authentication will re-parse the users current Active Directory login credentials to the ADI sign-in process. Users should then be authenticated to ClickView Online.
Important Notes:
Due to the way browsers handle authentication when met with Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) addresses, you will need to add the FQDN of the ADI website in to the 'Trusted Sites' within Intranet Options if you want users at your institution to be able to login to ADI using the FQDN of the ADI website.
To do this within Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Security > Local intranet > Sites > Advanced > Please add the FQDN of the ADI website in as an exception. This exception should be pushed to every workstation at your institution. Other browsers will have a similar method.
This procedure is not necessary if you are using a local DNS entry to the ADI website which contains no periods within the URL. For example, if we are just using 'http://clickviewsso' the above exception should not be needed. However, if we want to use 'http://clickviewsso.clickview.com.au' as the website address internally for ADI access, the above exception will be required.
This method of access will typically only work if users' are authenticated to Active Directory on-campus. If they are accessing the ADI website from outside the school network, they should follow the method of access listed below.
Users can access ClickView Online by typing their Active Directory 'User Logon' details in to the ADI default login box. Users will need to browse to the ADI website that has been created at your institution. In our case the local ADI website address is 'http://clickviewsso'.
Please enter your Active Directory username and password in to this login field and click the 'Sign In' box:
You should now be logged in to ClickView Online
