This tutorial will outline the steps required to add curriculum links to videos for Albert (ClickView's advanced curriculum video search engine) to find.
Note: Only teachers with administrator privileges can add curriculum links to videos.
- Log into ClickView with an admin account.
- Navigate to the video you wish to link.
- Click on the respective video.
- Underneath the online video player, click on the 'More' icon with the three dots and select 'Add Curriculum Link'.
- If curriculum links have already been created, the below window will be displayed showing the existing links. To add new links, click the 'Add New Link' button at the top.
- If you are a the first person to add links to a video you will see the following screen. Use either the 'Add New Link' or 'Be the first to add a curriculum link!' button.
- To add a new link, select the relevant categories that apply to the video then click search to show the available curriculum links.
- Select the correct code and click 'Save Selected Codes'.
- A notification will appear at the bottom of the table advising that the curriculum has been saved.
- The video will now appear within the list for that curriculum code when searching within Albert.
- Log onto ClickView.
- Click on the 'Dashboard' tab at the top of the page. Click 'Search by Curriculum'
- If you don't have that option click 'Albert Search' in the search bar menu.
- Within Albert's search box, you can filter videos sequentially by subject, year, strand, sub-strand and code. It is possible to search for videos with only one filter, you do not have to select all of them. Note: All videos in ClickView Collections have curriculum codes already attached.
- Log into ClickView
- Open the 'Albert' search via the ClickView search menu:
- Perform any search using 'Albert':
- You can further filter the search results by tag or keyword using the filter search.
- For example, if we want to filter by the tag 'cells', we can enter 'cells' in the Filter search or select the existing 'cells' tag.
- Each tag associated with a video will appear below the titles description in the search results, and popular tags will appear directly below the Search bar.
