What is TV?

'TV' is a television recording service that allows you to access, extract and edit free-to-air television programs from many different channels over the last few weeks. You now have the ability to browse thousands of recent and topical TV programs to select for entertaining and rich lesson plans.

Once you have located the TV programs to you wish use, You can open the video in 'Cloud Editor' within TV, which allows you to cut the program or to create labelled chapters in the program before adding the video to your school library.

All programs from TV, can be added to your own Workspace within ClickView where you can make further edits to the video and metadata, share with students, and also create an interactive lessons with the video. TV videos can be stored in your Workspace indefinitely so you always have access them within a secure environment.

TV is currently unavailable for primary schools.

For other K-12, secondary or higher education institutions, any ClickView teacher or admin account is able to access this service. Students accounts cannot browse this service. 

Where do I find 'TV'?

If your school has TV, any ClickView Teacher Account is able to access the service. To find TV:

1. Click on the “TV” tab, located within the top menu bar. 

How do I locate a program within TV?

There are several ways to locate a program using TV.  You can find programs using your dashboard, by channel, by program name or by using the TV search feature.

Select TV Region

The channels and programs listed are based on the broadcasting region you have selected. You can change the region at any time by clicking on the 'Current region' link in the TV menu.

Locate a program by popularity

The dashboard displays recently edited programs by other TV users and is the first screen you see once you click on the TV tab.

1. In the 'ClickView TV' dashboard, navigate to the bottom and click on the “Popular Programmes” Tab
2. Click on a program featured on the page
3. In the new pop-up window, click "Add"
4. Select "Add ad-free copy"/"Request ad-free copy", “Edit program” or “Add to Workspace” when prompted 

Locate a program by Channel

This feature allows you to search within specific channels to locate programs. Some channels are only available within TV depending on the specific region that is available to you. To search for a particular television program by channel:

1. Click the “Channels” tab
2. Select channel
3. Choose date
4. Select program
5. In the new pop-up window, click "Add"
6. Select "Add ad-free copy"/"Request ad-free copy", “Edit” or “Add to Workspace” when prompted

Locate a program by programme title

TV has all the available programs, arranged in alphabetical order.  Simply choose the first letter of the program name to see what programs are available. To find a program title:

1. Select the “Programmes” tab.
2. Choose the letter of the alphabet the program starts with from the ribbon
3. Click on the program title
4. Choose the broadcasting date
5. In the new pop-up window, click "Add"
6. Select "Add ad-free copy"/"Request ad-free copy", “Edit” or “Add to Workspace” when prompted 

Locate a program using TV search

Alternatively, you can search for a particular program by using the search bar found at the top of each tab within the TV pages.  To search for a program:

1. Type in the program name in search bar
2. Press enter or click the magnifying glass
3. Select the program
4. In the new pop-up window, click "Add"
5. Select "Add ad-free copy"/"Request ad-free copy", “Edit” or “Add to Workspace” when prompted 

Requesting ad-free copy

Not all videos will have an "Add ad-free copy" option available in TV. You can request for the video to have ads removed by clicking on "Request ad-free copy" button. The ClickView Curation Team will edit the ads out for you and you will receive a notification once it has been completed. Please allow up to 72 hours for your request to be completed.

Editing in Cloud Editor

You may wish to edit the programme yourself. When you select 'Edit', you will be taken to the Cloud Editor where you will be able to place named chapters into your program and crop specific sections of a programme. Once complete, the newly edited version of your programme will be added to your Workspace.

Add to Workspace

This will send the program immediately to your Workspace without editing. You will be able to play this program once it appears in your Workspace.  You can also edit this program at a later date.
